The Client Transport Service requires a Passenger Assistant to accompany clients to and from Care Centres and Special Schools on a Council owned minibus.
Duties will include assisting the driver with daily checks and working as a team whilst assisting passengers onto and off of the vehicle. This includes using the passenger lift where necessary, which will include the handling of wheelchairs and other aids to daily living, full training will be provided.
This will also involve collecting and returning clients from their homes to the vehicle, thus providing a door to door service.
The post you are applying for is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. If your application is successful you will be required to declare any spent and unspent convictions, adult cautions (simple or conditional) that are not "protected" as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013 and 2020).
