The Adult Services Contact Team is the front door social care team for Bedford Borough Council.
We are inviting applications from qualified social workers, (who are registered with Social Work England) with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience in a Social Work role.
The role is full time Monday to Friday with 3 days in the office. The role will consist of you working with a range of individuals and carers to assess their needs in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a strength based person centred way supporting individuals to achieve good outcomes. You must also be able to manage a varied case load and thrive in a fast paced environment and able to work within a team and autonomously as required.
Supervision will be provided in accordance with the departments supervision policy and you will benefit from working in a council who are committed to ongoing training and career progression.
This post carries a market rate supplement of £2,000pa pro rata (subject to review), plus welcome and retention payments.
