We have an exciting opportunity to join our Family Support Team as an Experienced Social Worker.

 

We currently have a Permanent, Full Time Experienced Social Work position in the Family Support Team in Bedford Borough Council.



The position involves supporting Children and Families under Section 17 and Section 47 and Section 31 of Children’s Act, completing High quality and effective interventions in as far as promoting children’s welfare and safeguarding of vulnerable children.


The position gives Social Workers the opportunity to make effective relationships with children and families, undertake direct work as part of the C&F assessment and consider wishes and feelings and the impact on children in informing plans/ appropriate services to refer on to and signpost to.


The position allows the practitioner to develop relationships with other teams and agencies outside of the organisation to inform robust multiagency plans and assist families at times of high need.
You would form part of a daily duty rota with team members.


There is opportunity to develop within the team, access training opportunities, monthly team meetings, group supervision and attend regular reflective 1-1 supervision.
