Job Advert

We are recruiting to a new Renters Rights Enforcement Officer role as part of our response to the Renters Rights Act.

This includes concerns such as unlawful eviction, harassment, discrimination, and unfair rent practices. You will also deliver a programme of advice, education and support for landlords and agents designed to encourage compliance with the new requirements.

You will manage your own caseload, undertake investigations, gather evidence, and support enforcement action, whilst also engaging with tenants and landlords to resolve issues at an early stage. You will also work closely with colleagues across the wider Housing, Environmental Health and Legal Services teams.

We are looking for someone with experience of investigating complaints and managing casework, good knowledge of housing and landlord and tenant legislation particularly the Renters Rights Act, strong communication skills, the ability to gather and assess evidence and prepare case files, a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and partner services and a commitment to supporting residents and delivering fair outcomes.
