The Bedford Borough Safeguarding Children Partnership (BBSCP) is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Manager to coordinate multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.
This pivotal role supports statutory partners and ensures local safeguarding is effective, collaborative, and responsive to emerging risks. You’ll work closely with key agencies—local authority, health, police, education, and the voluntary sector—to develop and implement policies, procedures, and training aligned with national legislation and local priorities.
You will co-ordinate and provide advice on Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements, the quality of practice and performance monitoring, supporting learning from child safeguarding practice reviews and embedding improvements across the partnership.
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills are essential, as you’ll engage senior leaders, chair panels, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll also ensure the voices of children, families, and communities shape safeguarding strategies.
This is a unique opportunity to improve outcomes for children and young people in Bedford Borough.
