Hi, I am the Team Manager for the Permanency Team.
I am aspirational for the children we support, and lead a team of creative, dynamic and enthusiastic practitioners. We are keen to make a difference, and are committed to working compassionately with children and families from 0 to16. We always aim to come from a strengths based perspective, and systemic practice is embedded in the Local Authority.
A team member recently described the team as supportive, vibrant, knowledgeable and child focussed.
We seek to achieve permanency for children and young people whether through long term fostering, adoption, SGO, or a planned return home.
The role involves a range of skills, incorporating: long term support to children in foster care or childrens homes; direct work with children, including life story work; completing assessments; preparing children for adoption; supporting transitions; involvement in Care Proceedings, including preparing evidence for court.
As a long term team, we offer you the opportunity to build long lasting and highly rewarding relationships with children and young people, seeing your support help them to blossom and grow.
