Bedford Borough is delivering an ambitious programme of SEND transformation, bringing together education, health and care partners to improve outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
We are looking for an organised and proactive Project Support Officer to provide key coordination and administrative support for the delivery of our Local SEND Reform Plan. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a major programme of change, helping to keep projects on track and ensuring that actions, milestones, risks and documentation are effectively managed.
Working alongside project and programme managers and a wide range of partners, you will coordinate meetings and events, maintain project schedules and trackers, support monitoring and reporting, and ensure that important information is accurate, accessible and communicated effectively.

To join us, you will:
- Have experience of providing project, programme, education, health or care administration
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Be confident maintaining project schedules, trackers, records and documentation
- Have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Teams
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and partners across different organisations
- Be able to work independently, use initiative and remain effective under pressure
