We are currently recruiting Mechanics at Bedford Borough Council, based at Brunel Road. With an hourly rate between £17.16 to £18.57, dependant on experience, enhanced with a market rate supplement of £5000.00 per annum.

The position is for day shift. The work pattern is four days between Monday to Friday, with a rolling day off during the week.

Bespoke product training across our fleet profile forms part of the on going personal development within this role. Longer term it will include Irtec training, Class 2 Driving Licence and MOT Examiner Qualification. The work will entail the maintenance of 90 Heavy Goods Vehicles and ancillary equipment, 150 Light Commercial and circa 500 items of Plant machinery and equipment.
