The 16 Plus Supporting Futures Team is looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join the team, working with and supporting young people who are looked after by the Local Authority, including unaccompanied and separated young people.


The Team also support care leavers 18 to 25 years to ensure a smooth transition to adulthood. The role will include carrying a complex workload reflecting high levels of risk, uncertainty and challenge, in line with the capability of an experienced Social Worker with a minimum of two years' post qualification experience in a social work role, ideally within the arena of Looked After Children, Asylum or Care Leavers.


There will be responsibility for mentoring and supporting the practice development of less experienced Social Workers and for delivering quality services to Looked After Children/Care Leavers, their families and their support networks. We are looking for a motivated, friendly individual who enjoys being part of a team and working in a busy environment.


*Market rate supplement payments are subject to an annual review.
