Job Advert

Bedford Borough Council are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced officer to provide join the Community Safety Team on a fixed term contract covering a range of statutory services including the Bedford Borough Community Safety Partnership.


We are looking for someone with the skills to lead on the protection and improvement for the safety of the communities and service users, residents and partners within the Borough and wider Community Safety Partnership (CSP) tackling antisocial behaviour and supporting victims of crime, especially the most vulnerable, focussing on ‘community confidence & area based improvement’.


You will have experience of managing caseloads, working with other partners making use relevant legislation, tools and statutory powers to tackle anti-social behaviour, crime and community engagement issues.


This is an opportunity for a confident and experienced professional to demonstrate the difference they can make by engaging with stakeholders, residents and businesses to reduce crime and disorder and improve community safety in Bedford. You must be a positive, highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to deliver against a challenging and rewarding work plan.


You will be joining a busy, friendly, supportive and professional team within a forward thinking service which is already utilising technology to enhance the service we deliver.

In addition to the full time role, we also have a part time role available (2 days, 14.8 hours per week)
