We are seeking a skilled, resilient, and compassionate Temporary Accommodation Placement Management Officer to support households living in temporary accommodation. Many customers have complex needs, are at risk of eviction, or have experienced repeated placement breakdowns.

About the Role
You will manage temporary accommodation placements across the borough, ensuring properties are safe, suitable, and well maintained. A key focus of the role is working closely with customers to help them understand and comply with licence or tenancy conditions, enabling them to sustain their accommodation and avoid homelessness.
You will manage a varied caseload, including high-risk and complex cases, using a balanced approach that combines supportive intervention with proportionate enforcement.

Key Responsibilities
Manage placements and support customers at risk of eviction
Work with providers to resolve property issues and ensure standards are met
Undertake inspections, welfare checks, and respond to tenancy breaches
Address anti-social behaviour and take appropriate action in line with policy
Maintain accurate records in line with audit and data protection requirements
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage risk and support customers

Partnership Working
You will work closely with:
Adult Social Care
Mental Health Services
Community Safety and ASB teams
Environmental Health
Police and safeguarding partners
This collaborative approach is key to delivering effective outcomes and managing complex needs.

We are recruiting to a new Renters Rights Enforcement Officer role as part of our response to the Renters Rights Act.
You will work alongside an Environmental Health Officer to improve standards in the private rented sector by investigating alleged breaches of landlord and tenant legislation. This includes concerns such as unlawful eviction, harassment, discrimination, and unfair rent practices. You will also deliver a programme of advice, education and support for landlords and agents designed to encourage compliance with the new requirements.
You will manage your own caseload, undertake investigations, gather evidence, and support enforcement action, whilst also engaging with tenants and landlords to resolve issues at an early stage. You will also work closely with colleagues across the wider Housing, Environmental Health and Legal Services teams.

We are looking for someone with experience of investigating complaints and managing casework, good knowledge of housing and landlord and tenant legislation particularly the Renters Rights Act, strong communication skills, the ability to gather and assess evidence and prepare case files, a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and partner services and a commitment to supporting residents and delivering fair outcomes.

Following a restructure, we are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Head of Service to strategically lead and manage the operational delivery of statutory children’s social work services, ensuring that children and young people are safeguarded, their needs are met, and outcomes are improved. You will provide strategic leadership to social work teams, ensuring compliance with legislation, guidance, and best practice, while embedding a culture of high-quality, child-centred practice.
You'll also be an integral part of the senior leadership team, working collaboratively with colleagues across children’s services, the Council, and partners, to drive innovation and service improvement, including budgetary accountability and responsibility.
The successful applicant will have a related degree and/or professional qualification and be registered with Social Work England.  They will also have substantial experience working at a senior level with children, young people and their families.
