An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Reablement Team and be part of our journey of transformation.

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills and fluent spoken and written English to join our team as a Reablement Coordinator.

About the Role:
The role involves coordinating a team of Reablement Support Workers to deliver a strengths-based, person-centred approach to care and support. The primary focus is to help individuals regain or maintain their independence, confidence, and daily living skills following hospital admission, illness, or deterioration in health.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing electronic rotas and care planning using bespoke IT systems, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel 
Completing initial assessments, setting agreed goals, and reviewing progress with the team 
Facilitating transfers of care to external agencies following a period of reablement 
Completing comprehensive Care Act assessments 
Holding duty responsibilities on a rota basis and making decisions in crisis situations 
Undertaking formal supervision sessions with staff 
Supporting the Team Manager with sickness absence management, recruitment, and staff retention 
Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to build positive working relationships 
Maintaining knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance to ensure high standards of service delivery


The ideal candidate will:
Have strong organisational and communication skills 
Be confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications 
Demonstrate a person-centred and strengths-based approach 
Be able to work effectively under pressure and make informed decisions 
Have the ability to lead, motivate, and support a team 
Be committed to promoting independence and delivering high-quality care 
You will need a current UK driving licence and access to a car. Able to work a 6 week rota pattern including weekends, evenings and bank holidays. (attached to the role profile)

Bedford Borough Council are currently recruiting a Senior Property Lawyer to join the team as a Team Leader.

You will be managing a busy team of friendly property lawyers working from Bedford Borough Hall. The council offices are easily accessible by train and car and we currently offer free parking in car parks within a short distance of the offices.

On a daily basis you will manage work consisting of a large commercial property portfolio and, although the Council does not hold any residential stock as such, it has undergone a process in recent years of acquiring residential property for temporary accommodation use.

You will be required to assist the Service Manager in the provision of a professional and comprehensive high quality legal service to the Council, its service areas and to have responsibility of the day to day management of the Property Team.

The role requires you to undertake and advise in respect of complex and high profile matters relating to property work in connection with the Council’s property portfolio. This will include statutory functions to ensure that the Council’s objectives are met in terms of income and to best secure its property interests.
